Mumbling, bumbling, grumbling

Artist Sol Lewitt

Learn to say “F*** You” to the world once in a while. You have every right to.

Just stop thinking, worrying, looking over your shoulder wondering, doubting, fearing, hurting, hoping for some easy way out, struggling, grasping, confusing, itching, scratching, mumbling, bumbling, grumbling, humbling, stumbling, numbling, rumbling, gambling, tumbling, scumbling, scrambling, hitching, hatching, bitching, moaning, groaning, honing, boning, horse-shitting, hair-splitting, nit-picking, piss-trickling, nose sticking, ass-gouging, eyeball-poking, finger-pointing, alleyway-sneaking, long waiting, small stepping, evil-eyeing, back-scratching, searching, perching, besmirching, grinding, grinding, grinding away at yourself.

Stop it and just DO!

(Sol LeWitt’s letter to Eva Hesse)

This grief

Artist Ruth Asawa

So what-

You have forgiven me

But I haven’t forgiven you

What now do we do?

As I hold on

To this grief like never before

I don’t want to turn away

It’s too good, too juicy,

This chaos, a thrill.

It’s been a slow year these moments far between

I’m looking for something

It’s not you it’s me.

They gave it a name I’ve yet to internalize

I’m too, way too much invested to analyze.

please just tell me the truth

I’m I not broken enough for you?

D.G.

Consider ease

Artist Ambera Wellmann

Be easier on yourself, on everyone, on every-thing. Suspend your judgments of the way things should be, must be, and ought to be. Suspending judgments gives you greater ease.

Consider ease the antidote for disease.

Do things that bring you ease-quiet walks, resting, hot baths, being with friends, meditating, contemplating, reading, writing.

Approach life with acceptance, patience, flow-ing, giving, grace, effortlessness, simplicity, allow-ing, acquiescing, permitting, forgiving.

Write these words and others like them-on separate cards and put them in places you will see them. Pick one of these attitudes each day and no matter what happens, meet it with that attitude.

Power to create

As you continue to examine more and more important and "impossible" ("I couldn't possibly have had anything to do with that!") areas of your life from an accountable point of view, you'll start to get a sense of how powerful you truly are.

We use that enormous power to create consciously and unconsciously, positively and nega-tively. As we look at our role in creating our life to date and see how much more we had to do with it than we thought, we can be more and more aware of our creative action. Then we can use it in more and more positive ways such as healing.

You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought
